It’s hard to believe a whole year has passed since we last attended the Miami Boat Show. We weren’t sure if we were going to attend this year, but since our boat was still in Miami, why not?
Saturday, we spent the morning checking out all the catamarans at the show! There were quite a few new ones out and about – like the Bali – and a lot of cats that we looked at at the last show. I also got to go to a meet up for Women Who Sail, where I met a few ladies & made some new friends! We also met Tasha who writes Turf to Surf, and her husband Ryan. They are looking to buy a Helia as well!
Sunday we headed over to the convention center, which was packed full of boating supplies. We walked up and down every single aisle to see if there was anything we could not live without. We bought two items: solar panels and Seasucker Cups! The Helia comes with no cupholder, so we bought two of the SeaSucker Vertical Mount 2-Cup Holder. Yah know, so I get one and David gets one. And just in case I’m double fisting. As for the solar panels, I’ll let David get all technical on you with that stuff!
Monday we checked out the power boat area, which was smaller than we thought. So after we finished that, we headed back to Strictly Sails and climber on a few monohulls. Or half-boats.
Great times were had by all!
